On popular demand, I have decided to hold a Friday Happy Hour Session once a month. Fridays are ruled by Venus, Goddess of Love. In the Tarot, she is represented by The Empress. Above, you’ll see an image of the Empress card from the Arcturian Tarot which is a work in progress that I have had to put on the back burner for now due to being too busy with my readings.
So what’s Happy Hour like here on Love Dove Tarot? Continue reading
If you’ve done more than half a dozen readings for yourself, you probably know by now that Love Tarot readings are the most difficult ones to do.
Any time at all that we are attached to the outcome, it gets trickier because we tend to see what we want to see… either that or we catostrophise! When the reading is about the one we love (or lust after!), we would have to reach the spiritual maturity of a Zen Master to not be at least a wee bit attached to outcome. I’m still working on that one, in case you were wondering.
So I guess this really begs the question if it is possible to read for yourself about love at all? Good news: Yes! And especially if you follow the steps below: Continue reading
A lot of guys would scratch their heads with a da f*ck look on their faces if they knew how often I get asked this and how desperate many women in their 40′s and beyond are to get hitched even after a couple of failed marriages.
“Surely, once you’ve (reluctantly) tried it and failed,” thinks the bloke, “you’d just want to have fun after that for the rest of your life… right??”

Here’s the one you have all been waiting for!
The card combinations below show various combinations of cards that indicate that this is the person you will settle down with, either by moving in together or getting married.

Some of you may wonder about the choice of the Ace of Swords here. The Ace of Swords is traditionally Continue reading
As a tarot reader, I often get asked if the person a client is dating is their soul mate. There is nothing odd about having an intuitive feeling of being deeply connected to someone you have just met – Most of the time, the cards verify this gut feeling and he or she do indeed turn out to be a soul mate. What many people don’t realise is that meeting a soul mate does not automatically equal ‘happily ever after.’
The Wikipedia definition of soul mate only helps cement the myth that your soul mate is always a life long partner:
A soulmate (or soul mate) is a lifelong partner that is predetermined by God. Believed by some to be the person with whom one has a feeling of deep or natural affinity, similarity, love, sex, intimacy, sexuality, spirituality, or compatibility.
By the way, in my experience, not even a Twin Flame (which is our other soul half) is always predetermined to be our lifelong companion – but that’s a story for another time.
Let’s dispel some of the most common myths and set the record straight! Continue reading
